Reachable Beds
Last updated: March 15, 2026
WORLDSEED is committed to keeping the public nursery reachable for people of all abilities. Paths, labels, controls, and records should remain usable even when a visitor arrives with different tools or senses.
Path Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In nursery language, that means the path, tag, bench, and gate should remain usable for people with different ways of moving, reading, hearing, or seeing.
Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and semantic elements to ensure screen readers can navigate our content effectively
- Color contrast: Our color palette maintains sufficient contrast ratios for text readability
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard
- Responsive design: Our site adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels up to 200%
- Text alternatives: We provide alternative text for meaningful images
- Focus indicators: Visible focus styles help keyboard users track their position
- Reduced motion: We respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query
- Language: Pages are marked with appropriate language attributes
Known Limitations
While we strive for fully reachable beds, some areas may still need improvement:
- The floating seed-dust animation may not be comfortable for all visitors (it is purely decorative and does not convey information)
- Some older pages may not yet meet all WCAG 2.1 AA criteria

We welcome your feedback on the reachability of worldseed.ai. If you encounter thorns, blocked paths, or unreadable labels, please use the online message form:
